New Walk Back to Fitness Group MOTI know that not everyone wants to, or can run. That is why we are introducing a 'Walk Back to Fitness' group. This group is aimed at everyone that wants to get back to fitness but needs to start slowly: new mums (buggies welcome), those recovering from illness and 'want to get moving' again, and especially anyone that have not undertaken much physical activity or are not sure where to start. Meeting at the shop on Wednesdays at 10am, our Personal Trainer, Sian, will take you through a structured, motivational and fun walking based fitness routine. Using the natural features of the Bristol urban landscape such as parks, hills and steps, the sessions are designed around building strength and stamina using a 'walking circuit'; this involves using different stations to perform specific exercises such as walking lunges for leg strength, star jumps for cardio strength, and core exercises for core strength. This is a fun way to build intensity into the routine too. These session will run approximately one hour. You will also have an opportunity to chat to Sian about about healthy eating and nutrition for exercise. Read about Sian on our Therapies page! The Team at MOTI look forward to seeing you on Wednesday mornings and to helping you feel great. Before starting any exercise regime, please check with your GP.
