FREE Running Technique Taster Sessions Nov - Jan 2011

Great running technique can mean improved running efficiency, less risk of injury and increased speed.

Everyone can benefit from good technique, from novice runners to those chasing a PB. The taster sessions will last an hour, starting at MOTI with a gentle warm-up run to Clifton Downs.

This is an active educational session to teach you how to run more efficiently and minimise the risk for injury. The session will include:

> Warm up
> Explanation of correct running technique and applications to run further, faster and more efficiently
> Biomechanical explanation of incorrect running technique and how it affects the runner
> Corrective drills, with drill explanation as to how it applys to good running technique.
> Short run coached by Piers to get the feel of your new technique.
> Introduction to training methods and energy systems to train more effectively.

The sessions are run by Piers Stockwell, a REPS level 3 advanced personal trainer, running coach, ski instructor and elite endurance athlete.
