MOTI Run Groups
Both of the run groups here at Moti are a great chance to enjoy your training in a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere.

Wednesday training sessions involve a steady run, for about 50 mins, around the Roath park and lake area. The session is taken by Daniel and the route is changed on a regular basis. This type of continuous training is an ideal way to improve your fitness, and is suitable for all abilities.

Saturday morning sessions are taken by Rich and will be aimed at improving fitness using a combination of Interval work and hill repetitions. This sort of training is ideal for improving your aerobic capacity to make those mid-week runs easier.

Interval training is a great way to break up your mileage and increase fitness by simply employing an active recovery.

Hill repetitions are perfect for building strength and add diversity and an element of speed to your training, which in turn keeps you much sharper and keeps the training fresh.

So why not come along...we look forward to seeing you.

NEW! Walking Back to Fitness Group Thursdays at 10.30am

MOTI know that not everyone wants to, or can run. That is why we are introducing a 'Walk Back to Fitness' group.

These groups are aimed at everyone that wants to get back to fitness but needs to start slowly: new mums (buggies welcome), those recovering from illness and 'want to get moving' again, and especially anyone that have not undertaken much physical activity or are not sure where to start.

Meeting at the shop on Thursdays at 10:30,members of the MOTI team will take you through a structured, motivational and fun walking based fitness routine.

Using the natural features of the Cardiff urban landscape such as parks, hills and steps, the sessions are designed around building strength and stamina using a 'walking circuit'; this involves using different stations to perform specific exercises such as walking lunges for leg strength, star jumps for cardio strength, and core exercises for core strength. This is a fun way to build intensity into the routine too.

These session will run approximately one hour. You will also have an opportunity to chat to the Moti team about about healthy eating and nutrition for exercise.

The Team at MOTI look forward to seeing you on Thursday mornings and to helping you feel great.

Before starting any exercise regime, please check with your GP.
