Dip APNT (Association of Physical and Natural Therapists), BCMA (British Complementary Medicine Association).
As well as Moti running shop I also work at Bradley Stoke Physiotherapy and Pendennis Clinic in Downend where I have treated a wide variety of clients
ranging from weight lifters and dancers to those with more general problems.
As well as this I also work along side the physio’s helping them with clients
who suffer from injuries such as whiplash and sciatica.
I compete in a variety of sports myself and so understand the importance of
looking after your body at all stages of training.
What is Sports Massage:
Sports Massage uses various massage techniques plus stretching and
mobilisation, to help your body on the road to recovery after a sporting/exercise
injury at any level. It is also very effective for everyday aches and pains, such as those incurred by excessive deskwork.
So whatever the problem, an effective treatment will be designed to specifically suit your personal requirements, to enable you to perform at your best.
Why choose Sports Massage:
People should choose sports massage if they wish to try and treatment that is not only beneficial but is also enjoyable. For example, if you are a runner, a pre/inter and/or post competition treatment can be extremely useful in preparing the muscles for exercise or helping with their recovery. This not only helps to improve your performance physically but it can also assist in the mental preparation required for participating in sport.
At the other end of the scale; if you simply suffer from back and neck discomfort,
be it from gardening/driving or decorating, a sports massage can help to improve circulation, relax the muscles, improve flexibility and help return the muscles to a better state.
